*Insert Fruit Name Here* Mojito

YUMM. Raspberry Mojito at Wood Ranch. I went there for dinner with my parents and my brother for a late celebration of mine and Matt's birthday! I ordered it an my mom was really confused because she didn't know what it was. Then later she ate one of the mint leaves. HAHAHA it was funny. I pretty much shared it with her. I was SO FULL and I was just sitting there when she was all asking if I felt hot, or if I was drunk!!! HAHAHA it was really funny :]. My dad and her both said they've never actually gotten drunk before. Too bad this drink was so little. :[

I don't know why I like mojitos so much. Maybe it's because of the refreshing mint at the end and it's light citrus taste. At Crane Sushi Stacey, E-Ling, and I would order their French Mojito. It consisted of a regular mojito but with some mysterious purple liquid that was really good. The other night when I was at Neomeze with Joanne, Fiona, and Vince I had a Carribbean Mojito. That was probably the best drink of the night. YUMM. I have heard that in vegas they have Strawberry Mojitos somewhere and I REALLY want to try that. Just sounds so good and refreshing doesn't it?

I'm thirsty now. :D

7. When I was younger I wished I was Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

SERIOUSLY. I had a beach towel that was of Sebastian (the crab guy) that said "Unda da Sea!" HAHAHa and I had the bed comforter that was of various characters from The Little Mermaid as well. I have also see several pictures of me brushing my teeth with boy hair wearing a faded purple sweater with Ariel in the front. In addition to all of that, I would sing the songs from the movie and my older brothers and cousins would tape record me doing it and play it. I was a die hard fan!!! I think it was because it looked so fun to be swimming and look all pretty with her crazy red hair flowing in the water. AND probably because she got to talk to the Flounder and Sebastian and she got the really hot guy in the end named Eric. What's funny is that I honestly wouldn't have even thought about it all until I decided to write this random fact and remembered all of this little mermaid stuff. OH YEAH and I remember this one time when I was at Kendrick's house during the summer doing a group project, our group decided to watch all the disney films and find the hidden sexual innuendo in them. Yes, sadly we found a part in The Little Mermaid but I will NOT state what it is. Anyways, I still like Ariel and she's really pretty. :) Which leads to my post! Today (March 23, 2009) I went to Disneyland! Jeff and I woke up nice and early and went to Disneyland and were later joined by Stacey & Anthony. By the time Jeff and I walked through the entrance gates, it was like 1:15pm. and NO I had not had anything to eat yet. If you know me, you know that I must have that first meal of the day because it keeps me going! So we walk ourselves over to New Orleans Square to get some of their delicious "Creamy Clam Chowder Bowl". I was going to take a picture of it but then it wasn't until after I finished it that I realized I had forgotten to take a picture. Anyways, IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! I have not had it for so long and they have these cool little packets of Tobasco sauce that I added in which made it even better!! That made us really full but happy at the same time. Jeff said "I think this is the most worth it [meal in Disneyland]" I half agreed with what he said. #1 because you do get very full from it considering how expensive it is. BUT #2 it is also the most wasteful. I'm pretty sure that 90% of the people that get the bread bowl don't finish the whole outside bread bowl. And by the way, it's WAY better than the nasty bread bowl that you can get at Mountain High. After that, we decided to go on Buzz Lightyear where for once in all of the times we have gone to Disneyland.. I KICKED HIS BUTT. This is for all of the girlfriends out there whose boyfriends don't let them win at this game. AND I HAVE PROOF:
HAHAHAH YESSSS. Anywhoo, there was this little annoying boy who was behind us in line that kept leaving his mom to run to the front and back of the line with out her. It was kind of funny because he had his shoes on backwards and I couldn't stop laughing. So, he decided to walk away from his mom again and stood in front of me. THEN after a few minutes he started crying for his mom because he couldn't find her. Stupid kid. His own fault for wanting to walk away from her. Now that I think about it, I almost wish that I went to look at his picture to see what score he got. I should've found his picture and posted it on here too so you can see what a crappy score he got. Just kidding!! Hahahaha I don't know why I felt like being so mean just now.

After that we met up with Stacey and Anthony in front of the castle (aka Stacey's house)! We went to Space Mountain which had like a 40 minute wait, and decided just to wait anyways because the fastpass return was for 9:50pm. There in line, we saw the two most unhappy people in Disneyland history with colorful Mickey Mouse ears on. C'mon, how can you be unhappy with those ears on?? The picture just didn't look right. After Space Mountain, we went over to Autopia and got a fastpass for that and decided to go to that giant thing called Innovention. or whatever. We got in line not really expecting anything from it except for some invention or futuristic stuff. I'd have to say that place is one of the COOLEST places in Disneyland!!! I can't really explain what they have there, but if my house was designed like that, I would be SO happy and lucky!!

After we went over to Indiana Jones, but the wait was ridiculously long and there were no more fastpasses. So, we decided to make a 180 degree turn and go to Bengal BBQ!.. I think that's what it's called. They have delicious skewers and my beloved jalapeno cheese filled pretzel. I LOVE IT. After eating, we went to Thunder Mountain and discovered the little wagon where they sold McDonald's fries only WAS GONE. Honestly, I never really got any fries from that little wagon but I don't understand what happened. All I know is that now it's gone and I wanted some. We saw a happy little group of people there with special shirts stating they were from Apple Valley. We were all jealous wishing we had custom shirts too. After the ride was over, Jeff and I decided to leave because he has to study for a test that is TOMORROW! On our way out, we decided to get what we always ALWAYS get at Disneyland..

The Churro.

I'm sad I didn't get any pictures of the food. By the time I thought about taking the picture, the food was already gone :[ ANYWAYS back to the churro. Jeff and I each got one because we're greedy fat people. He got his first and I decided to wait for the next one because I'm such a gentleman. They had to put in a new batch!! MINE WAS ALL FRESH AND HOT. I was happy. After that we left.

I feel bad for whoever reads this whole post. It didn't have a lot of pictures nor interesting stories like the last one about the pet onion. If you did get through it, Thanks for taking the time to read it. Even if you're just sitting on the toilet or just reading it to avoid doing something else more important. Then again, I'm not sure how many people bring their laptops into the bathroom with them.

WOW! It was exactly ONE YEAR AGO that..
.I realized I didn't like the Finding Nemo Submarine ride (maybe just a bad experience?)
.I got my first Disneyland Annual Passport
.I started to get a churro every visit
.You & I began :)

That was really cheesy. HAR HAR HAR. Okay, it's still spring break and there is still a lot more time to have fun. Call me if you're freeeee to hang out! I don't think I'll ever get tired of Disneyland. YAY! :]

Smarty with Short Legs :]

How can you not love that dog??? SO ADORABLE AND SMART. :]] The only thing I don't like about this commercial is that it's for the new Honda Ridgeline. I didn't even know that Honda came out with a car like that, but they sure got my attention with that dog!! :]

6. I wish I was really talented and had artistic ability, but I can't draw for beans.

I'm so jealous of those people who can draw or paint really well. I'm also jealous of people who have really nice handwriting, like neat, pretty teacher writing. People who are really good at doing things with pictures with Photo Shop and stuff, it seems so complicated I don't think that I could ever learn how to use Photo Shop. When I see other people's artwork I get SO jealous wishing that I could be so creative as to think of something like that. Even though the thought of museums seem kind of boring, sometimes when they have really interesting exhibits, I wish I could go to see the stuff that's displayed. Who wants to go to the Getty with me during spring break? :] NOW. I have a story to tell!!

Meet Onion.
My mom was in the OC area this one week meeting with a client, and so she dropped by with a few things that she thought I might need. Onion was one of them. He's just a plain white onion. Anyways, that week I ended up not even cooking anything, and so Onion just sat on my counter hanging out. Let me remind you, Onion just sat on my counter, with no water, soil, and not really any direct sunlight except for what creeps through our blinds. I didn't really pay a lot of attention to him until one day Shelley came over and started laughing at him. I was wondering why.. AND THEN..

this is Onion now:
HAHAHAH Shelley was laughing because she thought I shoved a Green Onion into Onion. It's also weird because it didn't have any water or anything, but it just grew on its own. If you feel it, inside the skin it's like there's space between the skin and Onion. Anyways, so I brought him home and my dad said it looked really funny too. But, he said we probably shouldn't eat it because it might be bad or poisonous. Like when potatoes start to grow the weird stuff on it, you aren't supposed to eat those either. The end.

By the way. I'M FINALLY 21 YEARS OLD. It was such a nice Saturday to turn 21. The sun was shining and it wasn't too hot nor too cold. I starte
d out the morning going to Panera Bread with my mom to have brunch because she's never been there before. After that I just went home and did a bunch of reading because of a final that was going to be earlier than finals week. Then that night I was supposed to go to dinner with my parents at Woodranch, but something came up and my mom got really busy, so we just went to this Thai restaurant and had dinner. Not as good as Woodranch's BBQ Tri Tip Salad, but still delicious! After this I went to hang out with Jeff and Ken and their friends which ended up in going to play mini golf. It was FREEZING and then finally when we were finished I went home. Here was the cake my mom got for me from Cathy's Bakery. YUMMM

Then that next day (Sunday) we had to change our clocks forward 1 hour. I went to see my Grandma before I went back to Irvine and I was sad to leave her. :[ I always get sad leaving her because she lives by herself but she was so sweet and walked me out all the way to my car even though her feet hurt. I got back to Irvine and waited for Shelley's call to take a birthday shot with her. It turned out to be an unproductive afternoon and FINALLY she called me to go over to her place to have a drink.

I went over and SURPRISE!!!! All these people were there!! and a little beer pong table was constructed with cups set up and readyyyy and cookies and cupcakes waiting for with along with a fridge full of yummy drinks!! People were so tricky and SO GO
OD at keeping this a secret and not revealing anything to me!!! I really was surprised and Shelley said I had to choose between taking 21 shots or taking 7 shots/drinks + 7 cookies + 7 cupcakes. Of course I chose the 777. Anyways, the night was filled with fun and laughs and drinking. We played some card games that I do not remember at all playing, but were super fun!!!! :] Anyways I went back to my apartment happy!

I didn't wake up feeling too great on Monday though.
I felt super lazy and I didn't want to do anything nor go to class at all. But I forced my lazy butt to go which was good because it was the last class before the final. Then I left class early to go to Dave & Busters for MORE fun and drinking at the bar and such. I'm dumb though and didn't renew my license earlier and so they didn't let me get any drinks even though my birthday was only TWO days before that. LAME. Anyways, we all still had a good time just playing games and such.

NOW IT'S TUESDAY. THE MOST ANTICIPATED DAY OF THE WEEK BECAUSE OF VOLLEYBALL. It was the Championship game CA v. VSA. Our little CA team struggled a bit during the regular games but we were happy to make it to the playoffs. We went from having a 2-3 record to being in the FINAL GAMEE!!!! We were so excited and stoked. This quarter's volleyball was co-ed reverse, which means: girl's net and guys cannot jump. There was even a facebook event for this game and SO many people showed up. It was crazy and nerve wrecking. Anyways to cut out all the rest of the details, we went to game THREe and WE WON 17-15. What a crazy game and thank you to everyone who came out to support and cheer us on to win over VSA. Since it was just an intramural game, we just won these towels. But they're still awesome :D
(Sorry again for the lack of skill in rotating the picture for you guys. But I think Duke likes the fact that they aren't rotated. So, unrotated they will remain!!)
And here is our happy team with the towels after the game!! :]

YESSS. It feels good to win with a team that really wanted it. Anyways, spring break is coming up soon!! My last final is on Tuesday, but I'll still be in Irvine. So, COME PLAY WITH MEEEE!!! :]

5. I enjoy just hanging out at someone's house with good company more than going out to a place where there are a lot of people around.

haha I'm not sure if that even makes sense to anyone. Anyways, a lot of times I find myself being more excited to hang out at someone's house with my closest friends than going somewhere. Let me clarify why! I was thinking about it, and I think the reason is that I miss high school. Some people might be asking me why I miss high school. I miss high school not because of the classes, but mainly the fact that you get to see all your friends every single day and you don't get sick of them. You get to do everything together. That does sound kind of weird and clingy BUT I DONT MEAN IT THAT WAY AT ALL. I just miss it. To compare the two, I would way rather prefer a nice summer night at Steph Lo's or Stacey's house to go swimming than sit at AU79 (no offense to you kiddos) LOL I love playing Cranium at anyone's house. Well, don't get me wrong, going out can always be fun, but at the same time it can be potentially disastrous. So, staying in with your favorite people takes the cake for me.

Sadly, I didn't have a lot of time this week to update. Therefore, I didn't get to have a new "Friend of the Week" this week! I'll have one up by this weekend or I'll post two for next week. We'll see, but next week will be freakin Week 9 already. THAT IS NUTS. I'm going to have to try really hard to force myself to do all the reading I can because I know I won't be doing any of that next weekend. ;) *hint hint* haha if any of you know what that means. I feel like this update is really boring. It's Friday night, and I am at hom
e. Yes, home sweet home. I won't talk too much about it though because Steph and Jeff might get too jealous and then be angry with me. I'll just brag a little bit that tomorrow is supposed to be 80 degrees. BUT partly cloudy. So I guess that's the down side of tomorrow. It will be a busy day and hopefully I'll have a nice picture to post from my little sad phone.

I really want a puppy. And with that I will leave you with this
image:

How can you not fall in love with that face and that soft fur? I wish I had one. My cousin and his wife just got that little cutie, and his name is Cooper. I'm so jealous!!!

Making smart decisions aren't my expertise. This feeling sucks. UGH.

4. I like college football over NFL, but I like NBA over college basketball.

I don't know why, but I just like NCAA Football. Seems more fun and exciting to me. NFL doesn't really tickle my pickle and I don't really know that much about the NFL teams. I do watch the Superbowl though, mainly for the commercials, and I just root for the underdog. Poor Cardinals :[. Anyways, I don't really follow college basketball, NBA just seems more exciting. Maybe because of all the crazy players and the excitement of it all. I have to admit, I didn't like the Lakers at first, but I GUESS they have grown on me. Houston used to be my team because because I loveeee TMAC. But now, these are the teams I root for
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers
NCAA Football: USC Trojans

VALENTiNE'S DAYYYY
It was a nice Valentine's day indeed. The sun was shining, but it was a bit chilly. I semi-got ready and then went over to Jeff's house to finish. Our dinner reservation was at 4:30pm at the Ruth's Chris in Irvine, meaning we had to leave at 3:30pm at the latest in order to get there on time. SO WE DID and good thing we did. We did encounter a bit of traffic and when we got off the freeway, we got a little confused but got there just a little before 4:30. We pull into the parking lot and see all these nice cars so we decided to park Jeff's car in the corner where no one can see it. HAHAHA just kidding!!! There were some crappier cars that Jeff was making fun of and I felt bad for them. Anyways, it was our first time, but thanks to a friend of Jeff's that has been there before, we had a small idea of what to order. I don't have pictures of the main foods because Jeff wouldn't allow me to embarrass him. :(

We ordered the Porterhouse for Two which consists of about a two-inch piece of meat with the bone in the middle. The beef on the two sides of the bone were two different cuts but, don't ask me what they are. I'll just tell you they were delicious. THAT is served with a teaspoon of butter on a 500 degree plate. I'm guessing that is to keep your food hot, or cook your meat a little bit more. We ordered Medium, but it came a bit more pink than I expected but it was SOOO GOOD. With that we also got a side of their potatoes Mashed and the Creamed Spinach.

THEN WE ALSO HAD DESSERT. I always have room for dessert. Here it is!!! Delicious Creme Brulee with Berries and Mint Leaves. I meant to take a picture of it before, but then I got too anxious and took a few bites out of it before I remembered. Usually Creme Brulee is just a nice little pudding custard, but this was the best Creme Brulee I've ever had! The sugar on top was nicely browned and not burnt. Even though the berries seemed sour, I think if it came without them it would be a really plain dessert.

After dinner, we picked up little Shelley bean from her apartment and then headed back to LA. When we got back to his house we hurried to turn the TV on so we can watch the All-Star Dunk Contest.

Props to Dwight Howard because he had some pretty cool and crazy dunks. But my favorite dunk-er is Nate Robinson from the NY Knicks!! I remember watching him in the 2006 dunk contest and he was CRAZY. If you don't know who he is, he is about 5'7" or 5'8" in height and can jump SUPER high. He is "short" in comparison to everyone else in the NBA. People said that if Dwight Howard didn't let Nate use him in his dunk, then he wouldn't have won. BUT even if Dwight Howard agreed not to, Nate could have easily found someone just as tall and put a Superman cape aroudn him to signify D.Howard. All I'm saying is that HE DESERVED TO WIN!!

Here he is with his dunk in 2006:And here he is with his dunks this year in the final rounds v. Dwight Howard:

I like the little dance he does after. He also looks like he could be Dwight's son. haha :D Yay for Dwight being a good sport. And in the interview at the end Nate thanked Dwight for allowing him to use for his dunk. AWW! :]
I heart Nate Robinson
. hahaha :)

3. I watch WAAAYYY too many television shows.

There are so many this season that I have to keep track of what shows are on what days so that I don't miss any!!! I'll list them here so you can all see how ridculous I am. :)

Desperate Housewives
Gossip Girl
One Tree Hill
The Bachelor
True Beauty
The City
Chuck
The Secret Life of the American Teenager
Ugly Betty
Grey's Anatomy
The Office

There are some others that I kind of watch on and off. I was actually thinking about it the other day.. what is going to happen when all of these shows have their season finales at the same time or just end? I don't think I would know what to do with my spare time. Time for a new job!!

Let me introduce you all to this special friend of mine named Kendrick Kevin Khoo (aka KKK). Let me tell you some interesting facts about him that many people may not know:

1. He can speak Dutch. Just ask him and he'll do it.
2. His favorite song is Turn Me On - Kevin Lyttle.
3. He has a secret collection of Barbie dolls that he claims are "his mom's". But we all know the truth.
4. He enjoys having candy bras so that people can eat them off of him. This year for his birthday he would like some candied tassles. HAHAHA

***EDIT***

since people are thinking these facts are REAL.. I'll have to put up some true facts now -_-
1. Kendrick's birthday is 4/11 which is the day after 4/10 which is Chavin's sister's birthday. LOLL
2. Kendrick has a cool car. The two cars that he has driven have both been black.
3. Kendrick has changed in high school. He was kind of quiet.. but now talks a lot. TOO MUCH.
4. Kendrick's house is really cool and big. At night it could be scary because of all the trees.
5. Kendrick's dog once got really excited it started peeing.. and then Kendrick picked it up.. and it was still peeing into the air.
6. Kendrick is very smart!
7. Kendrick is tall.
8. Kendrick is Burmese.. partially. Or to be politically correct.. he is Myanmar-ese-ish. LOL
9. Kendrick has two sisters. One older and one younger.
10.
Kendrick is Khool.

*** END EDIT ***

Those are all that I can think of for now because I'm kind of tired. I can't believe that I woke up at 4AM today and got ready, drove to Annette's house to get my snowboarding pants, and then met up with others leaving to go to Mountain High at 5:30AM. Luckily when we got there it was super early, so we got really good parking, and the lifts were that crowded when they finally opened. It was a good day for snowboarding. :)

The All-Star game was tonight.
With the East team's lineup I thought they were going to kill the West, BUT I was happy to hear that the West beat the East 146-119. YESSSS :) oh yea. AND Shaq was ridiculous. I don't even really know what to say about it.. so I'll just leave this:

After the meeting I had at work, I went to the newly remodeled (kind of) AU79 to meet up with my buddies :) I miss them a lot whenever we're all at school and that makes me sad :( But when we do hang out I LOVE ITTTT. I left early though because I was super tired from snowboarding. Oh yes, and I would have to say that out of the different flavors of Brick Toast that AU serves, the coconut milk butter one is still THE best.

I said I was going to update about Valentine's Day but I don't have the picture I wanted to post. So that might have to wait until tomorrow or some other day.

2. I absolutely can NOT watch scary movies.

I know a lot of people say they get scared, but you don't understand. When I watch scary movies, i start to get really nervous and then I try to calm myself down. Then, all of a sudden I start to get panic and get INSANELY scared that my heart starts beating really fast and I just can't bear to watch anymore. It has gotten so bad before, that I only watched less than 10 minutes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and that night, I got so scared I couldn't sleep. I had a theory that maybe I could just make myself tired enough just to fall asleep. I thought I was tired enough, and went to be around 12 midnightish.. and I woke up suddenly around 3am... except I didn't know it was 3 and I all of a sudden got really nervous and scared because of what I watched. I couldn't turn off the lights and lie down without thinking about the scene in my head. Anyways, I shamelessly walked over to my parents' bedroom and asked my dad if I could sleep with my mom. HAHAHA sad I know. And my mom always gets mad at me because she knows I can't handle it. She told me to not watch scary movies anymore because those movies are dark and it's not good for my heart.

Other random scary stories:
- When I first watched The Exorcist in the theater, I could barely watch it. That night, I couldn't sleep and the next day I got fever and couldn't go to school.
- After I watched The Ring, I slept with my mom for the next week. HAHA :)

I don't like anything scary PERIOD. Sometimes I wish I could just take it and watch those things, but at the same time I don't really care and I don't really care if people make fun of me. I can't help it if i get really ridiculously scared. haha so, if you ever want to watch a movie with me, please choose something within these genres:

Comedy
Romantic Comedy
Disney/Pixar
Action
Drama (Some)

and that's about it. I'm going to update about Valentine's Day later.. because it is February 14 :)

1. If I can't hear myself talk, jibberish comes out.

Yes!! It's true. Especially if a lot of people are all talking at the same time and it's really noisy then my thoughts get really scrambled and then random words start coming out. So, if you ever encounter me in that kind of situation, you might hear me start saying something and then it will end completely off topic. And if you go "what?" then I can't repeat what I was last saying to you because I don't remember.

HAHAHA I knowwww. I don't understand it either. My last midterm is today. FINALLY!!! I don't think I have ever been so excited to go home in my life. Not only because it has been midterms week but just other things as well, and I'm not sure if it's safe to post them here. hahahah

"Chris Brown" now has a new meaning on urbandictionary.com

this one is my favorite example though:

18. Chris Brown

When you stomp the shit out of a girl to put her in place. To be a women beater.

I Chris Browned the hell out of her after I found out she gave me Herpes.

I know no one is perfect, but it's kind of sad. What I really want to know is, why did he hit her in the first place?

meh WHATEVERR. and Lakers lost last night. but, we're not going to talk about that.

I wish I had some picture to post today.. but no new pictures unfortunately. :( I'm just going to post this one because I thought it was cute. The family living at the front of the house had this little egg-shaped santa clause that had a little motor blowing air in it to keep it looking inflated. and it lit up! So, when I came home at night, it wasn't just all dark, a bright happy santa was there to greet me :)

25 random whatever thing

I decided not to do a 25 random things about. To make my blog more interesting, I will give one random fact about myself in each post. This is to keep it interesting before I get a camera and figure out how to make my posts look normal with pictures. YAY :)

scary weather :(

I feel like the font on that last post was almost TOO small. I wonder if this one will even seem bigger. ANYWAYS!! It is 3:14AM and so the studying continues!! Isn't it wonderful? So this morning I woke up to the sound of the wind going crazy outside. No. Not the annoying alarm clock. YES. THE WIND. Makes no sense. I kNOWWW. So anyways. It was raining ridiculously hard and the wind was blowing LIKE CRAZY. The trees and bushes outside were going NUTS!!!

I tried to get some action shots of the wind and the trees but then by the time I decided to take pictures with my phone, the rain had stop, and the wind had died down. Thanks, Weather. AND, thanks phone for not rotating the picture for me. This make me look like THE ultimate
blogspot n00b. :(

but i did make this for lunch: Shin Ramyun (instant ramen) with Fish balls w/roe in the middle

There is a vendor fair this week on campus where the little sellers come to campus and have a table and sell stuff like t-shirts, sunglasses, jewelry, your name on rice, kettle corn, funnel cake, and whatever else they sell at the little things. I feel really bad for them because of the weather this morning. It must've sucked!! I didn't go to my discussion because it was too cold and windy. Wimp? Why yes, yes I am. I did force myself to go to my midterm though. Yay for me. Honestly, what kind of professor gives a midterm that consists of EIGHT 1/2 page short essay questions? Those are the worst.

Anyways it was ridiculously cold outside and thank goodness the heater at my apartment works very well. YESS :)

I feel like I'm failing at blogging right now. But, it's only my second post. Enjoy!!

ps.
I hope this satisfies you "content" wise Mr. Soomatic.

pps.
This post was Duke-inspired. <3
